Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk

HopeLine and Triangle Survivors of Suicide have partnered  for the upcoming I Will Survive Walk on November 8th. The inaugural walk started in 2013 with TSOS hosting the walk at Halifax Mall in downtown Raleigh. With over 200 participants the walk was a huge success and an opportunity for loved ones throughout the Triangle to join together in memory of those we have lost. HopeLine and Triangle SOS have partnered for the Survivors Walk to raise suicide awareness, promote suicide prevention, and provide support to those who have lost a loved one to suicide. The 3-mile walk goes throughout the streets of downtown Raleigh.

Triangle SOS offers a support group for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one by suicide. They host meetings in Raleigh, Wake Forest, and Chapel Hill. The partnership with HopeLine was a seamless one as HopeLine is the areas only free and confidential crisis line. This community walk is a time for the community to come together and show support. Throughout the day participants are able to talk with others who are struggling to understand and deal with their own tragic loss, and remember a special person lost to suicide.

Check back on our calendar for the date of the next awarenss walk. We hope you will join us as we support our community and save lives.
